Relate to students desires about what genre or genres they want to learn making it fun! I have been private teaching since 1976 at home, various stores and schools. Can teach more advanced piano and vocal technique as well as musical theory for more serious students. I have a B.A. Degree in Music with piano as my major instrument and voice secondary. I can only teach beginning guitar because I only took it for a year in college and enjoy it! Awards I have are scholarships all the way through college and at TWU also where I took nine graduate hours in piano pedagogy. Was Music Major of the year and Who's Who in Colleges and Universities.

I have studied music since I was 6 years old. I earned my BA in music education and have many years of experience playing professionally, classroom teaching, and private teaching. I continued studying piano and organ after college (and am still at it!) My piano teaching style is traditional, helping the student learn how to read notes immediately along with developing proper technique. I add discussions about composers, music history, and the theory of music. To me, it is vital the student understands WHAT he is playing. Yearly recitals are a part of my studio.
