Jose is friendly, professional and a good teacher. His credentials are outstanding but more importantly, he is able to adapt learning styles and put students at ease. I highly recommend this studio.

My daughter has taken lessons from Zion Piano Studio for the last 4 years. I really appreciate how she is taught strong fundamental piano skills that is giving her a good foundation in which to build and further her musicianship skills. Now that she has learned applied piano she is learning music theory. Which is deepening her knowledge of piano. Furthermore, the instructors have a deep faith and care about people and the community. They are patient and caring and Dr. Won has nurtured my very shy daughter and helped her grow in confidence to perform.

I have started my classical music training with Dr. Quesada three and a half years ago. He has brought me down to the basic and has helped me to create a solid foundation of rhythm, articulation, dynamics, etc. As a result, I have recently won a piano competition and have been invited to perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York. It was a difficult journey for me to find a good and solid mentor/teacher of music in general and piano performance in particular and I found one: Dr. Jose Quesada!

    Frequently asked questions

It’s really easy to sign up. All you have to do is pick out a day and time.
Our instructors are highly qualified, all have teaching experience, and most importantly, they have a passion for teaching. Being a musician doesn't automatically make you a teacher--that's why we search for those who are best qualified for mentoring our music students! We search Texas for the top teachers, who embody the high values at Benbrook Music Academy. Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student's learning style. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the USA and Europe and have years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level. We search high and low for the BEST teachers, so you don't have to!
Our lessons are $40 for each 30 minute lesson and you would come once a week.
we got started teaching in 2015, first in Fort Worth. As the program grew, we moved to Benbrook in 2017. Since then, Benbrook Music Academy has become the school of choice for hundreds of families, with students coming from Fort Worth, Aledo, White Settlement, Weatherford, Cresson, Crowley, Burleson, Granbury, and Godley to study at one of our two locations in Benbrook.
We’ve worked with a wide range of students, from young beginners starting at age 5 to adults returning to music or learning for the first time. At Benbrook Music Academy, we’ve taught hundreds of students and are known in Benbrook and Fort Worth as the most caring music school, meeting each student where they are and helping them grow with confidence.
A recent event I’m especially fond of is Benbrook Music Academy receiving the 2025 DFW Favorites Award for Best Music School. That recognition was especially meaningful because it reflects the trust of hundreds of families who have chosen us since 2015. Students come from Benbrook, Fort Worth, Aledo, White Settlement, Weatherford, Cresson, Crowley, Burleson, Granbury, and Godley to study at one of our two locations in Benbrook, and this award affirmed the care and quality we strive to provide every family we serve.
I would advise students to look for a teacher who is not only skilled, but also warm and personable. At Benbrook Music Academy, our music instructors get to know each student and parent on a personal level, and we work with you to craft a lesson plan tailored to your individual needs and favorite types of music. Whether you’re a seven-year-old taking your first lesson, a fifty-year-old returning to an instrument, or someone playing in a local band, we set goals to help you achieve your musical aspirations while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
What are your goals? Do you want to play for fun, perform in a band, or develop professional-level skills? Knowing your goals helps the teacher create a plan that fits you. What styles of music do you enjoy? Whether it’s classical, jazz, pop, rock, blues, or country, identifying your favorite styles helps make lessons more enjoyable. What is your experience level? Be honest about whether you’re a complete beginner, returning after a break, or already have some skills—this helps the teacher plan lessons at the right pace. What kind of support do you have at home? Think about whether you or a parent can help with practice, even without a musical background. What instrument access do you have? Do you have the instrument at home, or will you need alternatives like a keyboard, drum pad, or guitar? How much time can you commit to practice? Regular practice is key, so consider your schedule when discussing goals with your teacher.
