Taylor's Voice Lessons
About
I am a current student at the UNT College of Music majoring in choral music education. I also participate in UNT's opera program and have been classically trained for several years. I have been in several highly distinguished choirs. I am well versed in audition processes, as I still go through many. I can assist in musicianship as well as professionalism for any audition. Whether that be classical or theatrical solo pieces or chorally. Or if you just want lessons to better your technique, I am more than happy to assist in any way I can.
DISCLAIMER: I am currently still attending college and I do not officially hold a private voices lessons certification.
It is incredibly fulfilling to help someone achieve their goals and reach their ultimate potential as an independent and professional musician. I take pride in striving towards excellence and aim to see my students become successful. I am a very fun person to work with in the sense that I understand lessons can be stressful and I will do everything to help you be comfortable. With that said, I like to get work done. I want to see you be sucessful!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We would vocalize and see where they are techinally, then go from there. The lesson will mostly depend on whether or not we are working on pieces for an audition or we are just teaching technique. Either way we will be very proactive.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a sophomore choral education major at the UNT college of Music. This particular music school demands perfection and excellence so I am well trained in meeting expectations and achieving goals for myself and my students. I also participate in UNT's opera program and am classically trained, currently still taking lessons.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lessons typically last 30 minutes and would cost $25. Everyting is contextual and I am willing to adjust.
How did you get started teaching?
This is going to one day be my profession therefore I believed it was a good idea to get started as soon as I could.
What types of students have you worked with?
High school students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who you can get along with. You cannot learn in an uncomfortable environment or a hostile atmosphere. Also a tip, come to your lessons prepared and email me the music as soon as possible so I can become familiar with it before our lesson.
