Fausto Tennis Lessons
About
Tennis is my true passion! I have played competitive tennis for many years. I have been coaching for 5 years, working with kids 4 thru 18 years of age as well as adults.
Currently I work for a local NCAA D3 university as an Assistant Coach for the men's and women's varsity teams. I also work for coaching a local High Performance Junior Development program.
I hold multiple certifications as Adult and Junior Development Instructor from PTR (Professional Tennis Registry), the largest worldwide tennis coaching organization.
I will be able to improve your tennis game in terms of technique, tactics, mental strength and conditioning. If you are a beginner, I will introduce you to tennis and help you develop your game so that, if this is your goal, you will be able to play recreational matches in a relatively short period of time.
I love tennis and like to help others develope a passion for this awesome game. Seeing my students improve their skills is what I enjoy the most.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assess her skill set, evaluate strengths and weaknesses, have brief discussion on the assessment, ask the student what her goals are and what she wants to work on first. Unless the student comes to me with a specific request to work on some specific aspect of her game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Tennis Coach Certification for Adult Development through PTR (Professional Tennis Registry), the largest worldwide tennis coaching organization. I also attended several workshops about teaching kids and juniors within the last year as well as an International Tennis Conference in Orlando (FL) this past October.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Since I teach at the City of Houston Tennis Centers, I have to align my pricing to that of the other pros working at these centers. However, I can give quantity discount for a package of multiple lessons, which is higher the bigger the package is.
How did you get started teaching?
I love tennis and enjoy playing it. I tought my wife from scratch making her a competitive player. I started teaching others because I like to develope their skills and possibly also the passion.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids/Juniors of age 4 to 18 and adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Holiday Cheer tennis tournament at Memorial Park. Seeing the kids I train perform well made me happy and proud.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the tennis teacher/coach you hire has a certification and the necessary training. Tennis is a game in continuous evolution. The way the game is played today is totally different from what it was only 20 years ago. Therefore it is important that the coach is not only certified but he/she must also be on top of the modern game. The organization i work for (City of Houston / Houston Tennis Association) does a great job at keeping me up to date with the latest developments.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
For absolute beginners there's plenty of questions. For intermediate players, what their short/long term goals are. But really, just come to me relaxed and with a positive mindset and attitude.
