I’ve been playing drums for over 35 years and have provided private lessons for 15 years. My lessons focus not only technique and timing but also on learning the history of drums and the mechanics of the drum set. I feel that by learning about the history of the drums and how drums and percussion products work students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the instrument. Of course if you just would like help in learning a particular song I can help with that as well.

Playing an instrument helps in the development of a child's brain and also has a healing element for adults. Helping people, young and old, learn how to play the drums is very satisfying and brings me great joy. Knowing that it may also help people or develop a childs mind is also a great bonus to what I do.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
standard pricing is $35 for a 30 minute lesson at my home studio and $45 for an hour lesson at my studio.
$40 for 30 minute lesson at alternate location with your equipment. Or $50 for 1 hour session at alternate location with your equipment.
$55 for half hour lesson at alternate location with my equipment.
$70 for one hour lesson at alternate location with my equipment.
How did you get started teaching?
When my son was 3 years old I began teaching him how to play. From there I began teaching other students. My son is now in his senior year and is the section leader on his high school drum line and an accomplished percussionist in his own right.
