Texins Karate & Martial Arts
About
Since October 1964, Texins Martial Arts, the oldest continuing Karate club in the United States, has been providing instruction in American Taekwondo and the martial arts in the Dallas area. We are dedicated to providing a safe and family-oriented martial arts experience for students of all ages. Our mission is to foster self-improvement and personal development through focused training. We promote physical fitness and positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere. Our greatest responsibility is to instill in our students a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to inspire them.
I have over 30 years experience as an instructor to plan curriculum, administer exams and handle the administrative side of being an instructor. I have the ability and experience to stay organized in order to cover everything from self-discipline to the actual techniques used in this sport. I have the time to be available to answer questions that are asked and provide the additional help for those having trouble understanding the concepts and techniques.
I have the experience, patience and interpersonal skills to work with and train students to teach them about the many aspects of the martial arts. I also teach in a safe and con-trolled manner to prevent accidents and to reduce the risk of injuries carrying my own liability insurance. I can integrate technology to communicate in a clear manner so that any student can understand and I have the ability to change my teaching methods to match the age and skills of my students.
