About
I thrive on teaching all levels of swim instruction from learm-to-swim, all the way to Olympic Trial qualifiers. My attention to technique based/swim specific swimming lets my clients reach their full swimming potential without injury. With over 25 years experience in competitive swimming, I know the fastest way to correct stroke mechanics and increase speed/propulsion through the water with the leaset resistance possible.
I enjoy helping all ability levels achieve their goals in the water. My clients include fear of water clients, as well as nationally ranked competitive swimmers.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on the training platform we choose to go with after the initial swim asessment. It also depends if I travel to client and if they are private or semi-private/group lessons.

How did you get started teaching?
Teaching people how to swim came natural for me, my high school swim coach noticed that and put me to work. I have been creating fast swimmers that include State Champions to Olympic Athletes.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Just because someone knows how to swim, they might not know how to convey the proper technique or instruction for the fastest/most efficient training plan. Research your instructor and ask questions about their methods/swimming background. Usually lifeguards are not good swimming instructors, unless they have competitive swimming experience. Swim lessons are not equal across the board. You wouldn't take lessons at putt-putt to become a competitive golfer, I hope! One thing I come across a lot is swimmers having to retake lessons to pass a swim tryout for swim team after 4-5 years of lessons because the parents don't know swimming and thought they were getting taught properly. Proper lessons are not cheap and it could save your or your childs life.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. What are you trying to accomplish(i.e. learn to swim, stroke refinement or racing strategies) and what is your time frame to accomplish it?
2. What are your expectations of the instructor/ what are you expecting to get out of the training?
3. What is your budget and how many lessons are you thinking about taking?
