Potter’s Wheel Music School

My son has taken percussion lessons at Potters Music School for 3 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Phil, has been great, is very patient with a 10 year old, and took into account our goal of getting into the percussion section at middle school. My son is not only a better drummer, he achieved his goal and is more confident in life, thank you Phil!!

Phil has been an amazing instructor for my son. Its such a great privilege for my son to learn from a real drum professional. The reason for this is that he not only learns proper technique of the craft, but hes getting invaluable coaching on the business side of being a musician and how to be a real professional. Phil doesnt sugar-coat in telling his students what it takes, and emphasizes how important discipline and practice are, and that these habits need to continue lifelong. He has been awesome to work with and it shows that he really takes a genuine interest in watching his students grow. If you want to learn from a true musician who has walked the walk, I highly recommend Potters Wheel Music School.

Straight-forward music teacher, focused on technique as much as adaptation and intuition. Great teacher for ages 8 and up, plus he is still active in the music scene and continually challenging himself with new skills. Definitely recommend!

Phil is very hands on! Great guy to learn from

Mr Phil is a great teacher with real-life professional experience who shares his knowledge and skill with just the right amount of humor to make his drumming points really stick. His lessons are well rounded covering all the key genres. He’s fun, but keeps the lessons just challenging enough to motivate you to reach the next drumming goal.
