About

My nearly 20 year experience as a student of the sport of swimming has helped me develop as a teacher of the sport. I have been able to experience all levels of swimming and swim instructing. All the way from survival skills to competitive skills at the national and international level.

I enjoy sharing knowledge and being innovative in the ways I teach. As a teacher to the sport, I will continue to put myself in the position to be a student as well and learn from different situations to better provide services for all kinds of kids/adults looking to improve their swimming skills.

Coach Aaron has played a vital role in teaching our children how to swim and how to be safe and love the water!!! They are all 3 very different levels of swimmers; from a Summer League swimmer, to a 3 time TAGS qualifier(age 12), to a little mermaid who has been swimming across a pool since age 3!!! His lessons are top notch, he has great knowledge of stroke technique and is a great role model!!

My daughter is a competitive swimmer. I first asked Aaron to work with her towards the end of her first year because she was struggling to swim a straight line in backstroke. She was swimming a zig zag from one lane line to the other. Aaron worked with her for one lesson before her next meet. After that one lesson, she swam backstroke in a straight line, set a personal best time, and I was sold on Aarons ability to coach kids. He has given her lessons for the last four summers in all swim strokes and has made a significant difference in her swimming. He has an impressive ability to recognize areas which need improvement and provide drills to reinforce better techniques.

My 4 year old son was the type of kid who did not like to get his face wet. Aaron is great with kids, builds trust and confidence. He is great at reenforcing technique in a fun way for kids. My son looked forward to his swim classes with Aaron. My son would ask me to record him swimming and send it to coach Aaron. I can’t say enough about coach Aaron. My son is now 7 and loves to swim competitively.

Frequently asked questions

Develop an understanding for learning methods that work and don't work in the first lesson or 2. Proceed with the foundations of swimming and then build onto the foundation when the foundation is strong enough to hold itself together.

My experience as a swimmer from neighborhood summer leagues to the highest level of competition at the national level has brought me great perspective. My past 9 years of coaching kids of ages 4-18 have also helped me develop best practices as a coach.

Yes, typically I do $25/half hour. Prices may vary depending on travel distance, waiver fees, etc.

As a young 15 year old kid I began teaching hands on lessons at neighborhood pools.

Kids interested in survival skills, triathletes, babies, young competitive swimmers, high school swimmers, state level, and national level swimmers.

There is no particular event that I am fond of but rather many events. A decent amount of kids from the neighborhood summer league team I have been coaching for the past 9 years have decided to take the next step and pursue competitive swimming at the club level. Those little moments is something I will always hold dear in my heart.

Students should look for a teacher who is passionate about the skill they are wanting to learn and have a wide variety of experiences in teaching many levels to fully grasp where the teacher needs to meet the student along the path to learning the skill.

What is the motive for learning the skill?

Are you willing to be open minded?

How many times a week do I want to practice to be able to perform this skill?
