Black Dragon Kenpo Karate

Professor Nieves who is the owner and head Instructor of Black Dragon Kenpo Karate has been practicing and teaching martial arts for over 38 years. He has studied in several disciplines and holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in Black Dragon Kenpo Karate, 2nd Degree Black Belt in KIAI Kenpo Karate, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate, Green Belt in Taekwondo, 2nd Stripe White Belt in Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor Nieves was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2013 and again in 2014 receiving the prestigious Silver Life Award and Distinguished Master. Professor Nieves was also a certified instructor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Correctional System as a Defensive Tactics Instructor and has extensive law enforcement training as a K9 Officer and Detective with the Drug Task Force.

I have always been passionate about the material arts. I enjoy teaching new students self defense techniques and building their confidence. It's very rewarding for me.
