About
I am very comfortable in swimming and took swimming lessons myself, so I know what it is like to learn how to swim. Knowing that and having patients sets me apart from other teachers. I know the skills and knowledge to teach someone all the skills to swimming and the techniques. Also we have had training in disabled and handicapped children(specifically my partner).
I enjoy teaching swimming lessons because it's a skill that not everybody can do. I know it's scary when you first try to swim but seeing the happiness in a person accomplishing learning how to swim is very satisfying. I have been teaching for over 10+ years and have enjoyed every moment. From teaching babies to becoming a swim coach, I have learned to appreciate knowing how to swim. Now I am able to share my experience and expertise in helping someone lean how to swim.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have the parent present to help the new student get comfortable. For adults to have a open mind at knowing it might be scary but giving it a try will help over come your fear. If we need pool noodles that will be no problem and and safety pool equipment is accepted.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been trained in cpr/ first aid and lifeguard training for over 10 years. I have also taken training in baby safety and deep water safety.
