Hello Students! I am Ms. Wesley, it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with you and to help you to polish God's gift. Personally, I feel artistic expression is a must, to express some of the soul's deepest emotions and motivations. My Education: I have an Undergraduate degree in Voice, with a minor in Opera Theater, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I received a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance, minor in Education, from Norfolk State University. For thirty years I have taught students to build their voices through a dedicated practice and exercise regimen. My Experience: Singing in Opera, Musical Theater, Pop, Jazz and Worship music genres give me a powerful Performance insight. My coaches and Private Instructors have been, George Shirley, Sylvia Olden-Lee, Jay Lesenger and Martin Katz, as well as Joe Walsh, former Assistant Director of the Virginia Opera Association. Under Maestro Walsh's coaching, I completed The Virginia Opera's Apprentice Program. I have years of Dramatic Studies, to my credit. I have taught Voice Classes and Private Voice at the First Baptist Church of Hampton, Celestial School of the Arts (2008-2018) Hampton University(2018-2020). Since, the Pandemic I have been working on a number of musical and literary projects. Now, I am interested in your musical enrichment.
