Nancy MacArthur Smith's Voice Studio

I offer training in both classical and musical theater technique to teenagers and adults. I am certified by the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Shenandoah University's CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute. I served on the Virginia NATS Board of Directors for 13 years and am a member of the Northern Virginia Music Teachers' Association. My teaching philosophy is to provide a musical visa to my students, encouraging them to explore diverse musical genres as they learn good breath control and extend their ranges. My students have won competitions, scholarships, and leading roles. Many of my former students are pursuing music and theater degrees at prestigious institutions and have gone on to careers as soloists, actors, and teachers.
