I have an extensive background in classical vocal pedagogy and performance. Having held multiple University and Conservatory faculty positions, I was able to work with a broad spectrum of students of all ages and genders. I was on staff at the Washington National Opera with Maestro Placido Domingo. I have also had extensive experience in Musical Theater, both as Music Director and individual voice coach. Several students from the studio are singing around the country and abroad in Opera, Music Theater, and Country. In addition the studio has a large high school contingent that are exploring their musical gifts.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to meet with a student. I ask them to sing a little. Then I discuss what their goals for study are and what are their dreams for singing. Then I demonstrate how I will work with them in lessons. I go over studio policies and try to answer all of their questions. The student can then decide if private study meets all of their needs and will help them reach their goals!
