Antrican Violin Studio

I have been teaching private violin lessons for 6 years and it has brought me great satisfaction to watch students grow in confidence and skills as people not just musicians. I studied violin pedagogy at Whitworth University and graduated with a degree in Violin Performance. My teaching philosophy has always been "Music accessible to everyone!" Whether you plan to play classical music, dabble in fiddle, or learn how to play your favorite pop song on the piano, it is my joy to help you reach your music goals. Violin can be a competitive and difficult instrument. I provide a non-judgmental space for learning and I seek to understand you, not just your musical abilities. I empower students to problem solve in their own practicing to prepare them for life beyond music. I celebrate with you each step of the way while also challenging you to grow and stretch your known abilities. I am familiar with the Suzuki Violin School Method Level 1-5, but I believe in teaching music reading skills in the first year of lessons. My primary instrument is violin, but I am also offering piano lessons Level 1-3. I would be honored to work with you!
