Beth Davis Music
About
I hold bachelor's and master's degrees in music (music education + voice performance). I have been teaching private voice lessons since 2007, and I teach singing in all styles (classical, musical theater, jazz and pop). I am also an active performer in the area. I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music/education, and I have taught with Village Theatre and Seattle Pacific University.
Students learn so much in lessons. Directly, they learn: healthy technique in a variety of styles/genres, musicianship (reading rhythm and pitch, and developing song learning skills), and performing in studio recitals (demonstrating vocal growth, as well as skills in memorization, presentation and storytelling). Indirectly, they also learn: music appreciation through listening to and learning a wide variety of music and genres, improved learning skills by discovering student’s learning style, and work ethic/accountability/independence as students continue to take lessons, and the teacher continues to assign tasks and hold students accountable for followthrough.
