About
Hey everyone!
I am a graduating senior in college at UW-Milwaukee! I used to be both a swim and tennis instructor teacher in the Green Bay area. I've taught kids between the ages of five and 13 for swim lessons and all middle school ages for tennis lessons. I am a certified lifeguard and did play varsity tennis in high school. I would love to teach others how to play tennis and have fun and of course learn how to swim!
I love to make kids smile and have fun! I have learned that encorporating teaching games is the best way to keep their attention. I've always been a people's person, so I love doing this for others!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to learn a bit about them and learn about why they want to play. My first sessions, I always take time to get to know my students and learn something fun about their summer or past experience. I start with basics to see where they are at in the activity and build from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I played tennis from 4th grade until my senior year in high school, sometimes playing in both school teams and club leagues. I have taught tennis lessons in the past for Allouez parks. I was also a certified swim instructor for 2 years, teaching kids from ages 5 to 12. I currently still play tennis for fun and am a certified lifeguard.
How did you get started teaching?
My original teaching was through an offer from my school at the time. Since then, I didn't revisit the idea of teaching until recently. I have always loved tennis, and thought it would be good to get back into teaching and playing.
As for swimming, I watched my peers teach swim lessons and thought it would be just as fun to jump into it.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids aged from 5 to 12 years old
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone with experience in the area, not just with teaching but playing or participating in the activity you are looking for. And, find someone who is going to relate to you best! Personally, I felt more comfortable being taught by someone closer in age.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
- What do you want to gain through our lessons?
-How much free time do you have to practice?
-What ways can the teacher make the lessons fun for you?
