Belinda is an awesome teacher, for all ages. She started working with my son when he was only 4 and made the lessons fun for him. Now he is turning 9 and Belinda has kept him interested through the years by keeping him moving along and challenged. She has also turned more responsibility over to him and pushed him to get better through his own hard work. She challenges him but also understands that he is a kid and it needs to be fun. She is also very reliable and communicates with the parents about any changes, schedule issues, and our kids progress.

Ms Belinda has been our kids teacher for over 7 years now! She is very organized, thorough with her preparation and planning and allows kids to pick music of their choice! She also conducts group classes and keeps us posted of upcoming music festivals and camps around the state!
Ms Belinda goes the extra mile to make sure her students are comfortable with her and prepared for the next level! My kids are excited about their class every week! We could not be more happy with her and know that our kids have one of the best violin teachers.

    Frequently asked questions

I like getting to know the student a little first because it helps me relate to their personality and learning style.  It's important to also talk through my expectations of taking lessons and what they can expect from me as their teacher. I want them to know up front what they can expect before they commit. Then, I begin giving them the basics.

I graduated from Samford with a BA in Music Education. While there I participated in the Samford Orchestra and String Quartet. I also played in a church orchestra off campus.  I attended (and still attend) numerous string conferences to continue my education as a string teacher.

20 minute lessons (recommended for beginners 4-6 years old): $20/lesson

    30 minute lessons: $30/lesson

    45 minute lessons: $42/lesson

I always wanted to be a teacher growing up so I decided to teach what I enjoyed doing. I began teaching a few students in my hometown during high school and enjoyed it so that confirmed my decision to major in Music Education in college.

I like to meet my students free of charge before having them commit to a full semester of lessons with me. This gives us time to get to know each other, discover each other's personalities and for the student to learn of my expectations.  I would recommend this to any student looking to hire a teacher.
