Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach beginners all the essential things, including reading notes, how to tune, how to hold the instrument properly.
I give all of my students warm up routines or exercises to be more aware of the instrument and how our body relates to it.
I teach intermediate and advanced students efficient ways to practice and I guarantee to teach you how to get a lot of things done with a reasonable practice time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm mainly a performer, and that teaches me to be quick with problem solving and always be smart with how I practice and teach. I was taught by one of the best string pedagogues out there, Mimi Zweig, during my time in Indiana University, and I can help teach anyone who never even touched an instrument.
