Olivia Jones Piano Studio offers in-home lessons throughout the Birmingham area as well as in-studio lessons in our Hoover location. People of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to pursue the love of music with lessons that inspire creativity and excellence in a comfortable setting. Students will soon discover that music excellence is a lifelong journey that is worth pursuing while encouraging others with the music they play.
Olivia Jones graduated in May 2019 from Samford with a BA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. During her time at Samford she won both the 2018 Federation of Music Clubs Competition and the 2019 Samford Concerto Competition. In Summer 2018 she was selected to be one of four national music representatives to attend and perform at the 2018 Delta Omicron International Triennial Conference in Orlando. She is an active MTNA member and recently presented with the Samford collegiate chapter at the 2019 National Conference in Spokane.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically we will schedule an in-person meeting to discuss goals, strategies, and expectations for learning. When the lessons begin, we will adapt the curriculum to your learning pace and progress level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Samford University. I have been taking piano for over 15 years. I am working on obtaining an MTNA certification, a rigorous teacher certification program!
