About
For a serious instrumentalist, I supply lessons in classical & jazz, violin as well as piano, composition, and improvisation. I also tutor music theory, and have fun with anyone wanting to enjoy music improvising with diverse home-mades, percussion instruments & ethnic musical instruments.
My specialty is improvisation, and I am great at rescuing adults and teenagers who need a fresh approach to their training.
Ofcourse, I can teach from scratch as well.
30+ years as Director of Birmingham Suzuki Violinists, now operating Sequana Creative Studio, which is rich with Suzuki success, but now includes the opportunity to explore student interests in multiple styles and creative approaches.
I also specialize in electronic music and free improvisation on strings, percussion, and piano /keyboards for those who are ready to branch out in their process.
Check out my professional work in performance and teaching. I would enjoy working with you.

I enjoy watching my student's enjoyment and success! Learning a musical instrument can be really fulfilling, and a great way to keep your brain and your co-ordination sharp and in shape. I make sure lessons are enjoyable for myself as well as the student. Humor is always good, so we have fun. And work. And see results! And that's enjoyable!

How did you get started teaching?
It's always been my chosen vocation. When you teach, you learn. When you learn, you share what you've learned! You teach! It's the Chain of Life and knowledge. To grow, both student and teacher alike! The old saying is true, "Experience is the best teacher!"
