International Piano
About
I grew up in Beirut, Lebanon as a child and began piano for 6 years under Sonya Ahahronian, an Armenian professional musician. Beginning with dexterity excersises as a student learns chords, scales, arpegios, thirds, in both major and minor keys, the student develops into reading music, understanding musical symbols, understanding score, the time signature, and develops an ability to play while learning classical music..... Czerny, Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, etc..... A student must begin with a real piano, with real ivory keys, not an electronic keyboard, in order to develop dexterity and expression.
I love music, and I know there are young persons, and many adults who also have a keen interest in music. I enjoy developing their understanding and ability.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A personal understanding and rappoir must be developed as well as conveying that my study course is a serious yet vastly rewarding commitment. Commitment must be established. Mechanically, the process of teaching the piano begins with developing in the student an understanding of the keys, chords, arpegious, thirds, in major and minor keys, with the development of dexterity and fluidity well into focus; and then develops into understanding score, recognizing notes and other sybmols in music. And as these basics progress, depending on ability and progress, music, actual compositions by classical masters, are introduced for practice. In all of these basics, homework is assigned, and the performance of the studies assigned is evaluated in the following lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took lessons as a child from one of the best professional piano teachers in the world, Ms. Sonya Ahahranian of Armenia while I grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. Through these studies I grew up in a strictly classical music environment and later in life, developed the ability to improvise and compose music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would like to say that I can be flexible, however, the rate that I ask is a firm $25.00 (US) per lesson (per lesson; lessons last at least one hour but can last as long as an hour-and-a-half). One lessons occurs each week, same time, same day of the week.
How did you get started teaching?
I learned to start teaching by working with other musicians while composing and performing original music.
