My daughter absolutely loves Miss Amy! She makes learning to play the piano fun and engaging. She is also very patient and always makes you feel welcome. Miss Amy is extremely talented and we feel so blessed that our daughter has the opportunity to learn from her.

    Frequently asked questions

I start with a getting to know session....what they like or don't like, how much time they have to put into rehearsing, what are their goals, etc.

I have 40+ years of musical experience,  ranging from playing several instruments in high school and college, to working with professional musicians who have played for Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks,  Mr. Mister, Toto, Warrant, and have recorded CDs with the Phoenix Symphony. I write and record music in many studios. I also have a degree in psychology, which comes in handy when working with people.

    I charge $30 per half-hour lesson. I charge $60 for a one hour lesson.

I started helping other students while I was in high school, and started my own business while going to school

Ages 3 to 70 years old, some with special needs, some prodigies, some who work extra hard, and some who just want to have fun and enjoy the experience.

Watching my students in a talent show. That made me very proud, and I felt like I had a purpose to help them shine.

Find one who has a personality you enjoy. The experience should be fun while learning. Also ask them to play/sing with you and for you. You will figure out pretty fast if you're a good match.
