I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with Music Teacher's National Association. I have taught on and off since 1966; currently have taught at my present location 23 years. I have a degree in music education with piano being my focus.
I enjoy being around people and giving them the gift of music which they will have their entire life. I teach classical, jazz, pop, sacred, theory, and composition and try to teach to the student and what their inclinations happen to be. My teaching is enhanced with a computer lab which reinforces music theory concepts, ear training, and music history.
I am active in Arizona State Music Teacher's Association and East Valley MTA, and my student have several opportunities to participate in activities offered by the associations, such as Music in the Mall, Composer's Celebration Concert, Prize Piano Performers, and Arizona Study Program. There is a studio Christmas party/informal recital in December for the students and an awards recital in May.
