About
Bachelor Degree in Music Performance and Child Development, performed in jazz bands, orchestras and musicals, produced children's musicals, sponsor jazz clinics and master lessons with concert pianists for my students to experience music in a bigger way.
Trained in Orff, Suzuki, mentored under concert artists from New York, New Jersey, attended many world-re-known music camps and music prep programs throughout the country. Many previous students are professional today or have received high honors in music on a national level, and music scholarships.
One continuous thread is that my student LOVE to play music even years later. I love teaching music as artistry to any age and believe that music is nurtured from the heart. Anyone can become great with hard work and given the proper tools.
Students participate annually in the National Guild of Piano Teachers national auditions. Students place in the upper 5-10% for over 20 years. As a teacher, I have been placed on the teacher's National Honor Roll for over 20 years.
Currently, I also work at Desert Jewish Academy teaching general music courses. Previously I work at Paragon Science Academy teacher general music courses.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with students and find out their goals before I’ve set up a curriculum.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in music performance and another bachelors degree in psychology. My masters degree is in motivational learning and educational technology. Postgraduate work is in jazz studies. I also have a certification in advance panel pedagogy. Early in my training I received Suzuki piano certification for seven levels
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge for my time by the hour, half hour or 45 minute lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching during my university years. I decided to do it as a business when I started having my family because doing professional gigs took me away from my children every evening. It was a great experience though to pass on to my students. I’m glad I did it while I could. I have found great joy and satisfaction in teaching all ages
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say find a teacher but not only has a good educational background of music but also is relatable and can break things down to teach them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Go to the best teacher you can afford. Do you want to teacher without set of professional experience and also the educational background. Don’t waste your time going to teachers that have little training and are convenient. When students advance and transferred to a teacher that is professional they will have to re-do many things if they start with the teacher that has little background in education.
