I have been teaching private violin, viola and piano lessons in the Valley since 1980. I also have 38 years of experience teaching public school orchestra. I enjoy working with young musicians ages 6-18. I have a passion for teaching and watching my students progress.
I get an extreme amount of pleasure from working with my students and fine tuning my approach to fit their individual needs. I know that their study of a musical instrument is enhancing their intelligences and developing a life long skill set that will provide them with countless hours of enjoyment.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is free. We chat to get to know one another, I go over some basic information for beginners and assess the ability level of students who have previous experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Music Education. I have been teaching private piano, violin, and viola lessons, and well as teaching public school orchestra for my entire adult life.
