I currently have room in my Paradise Valley studio for more piano students. My studio is equipped with 2 grand pianos (Steinway/Yamaha) multiple keyboards, harpsichord and organ.

I love teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I have an emphasis in classical music, but am very open to all styles and genres. I have a unique and very positive teaching style, and I love seeing my students become the musicians that they can be.

I also focus on sight reading, technique, and theory, to enable you to play the widest range of music and have as much independence as possible.

Many of my students have gone onto successful careers in music. Recent students have gone on to study piano at ASU, SF Conservatory of Music, Vanderbilt, etc and have also been prize winners at national competitions.

I also teach harpsichord, organ, and music theory. Many of my students take AP Theory while studying with me.

I have a doctorate in musical performance from Arizona State University, and have also studied in the UK, Germany, and France.

I would love to share my love of piano with you, and help you meet your music goals.

I love seeing the success and satisfaction of my students, and helping them to achieve their goals

Guy is an outstanding teacher. He is extremely insightful and caring. The progress I made is simply unbelievable. He is really knowledgeable, but he’s also really kind and supportive and helped me get through lots of problems. 100% I recommend.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to meet up at the piano and see where the student is musically. I like to have a detailed conversation about musical and personal goals so that we can plan a course of study.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a doctorate in musical performance, along with multiple degrees from conservatoires in Germany, France and the UK, I regularly teach as a visiting professor at various universities, and I have played over 1000 professional concerts in the last 15 years.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with all ages and all experience levels. Some students have gone on to professional careers in music, others simply learn for the love of learning.
