About
Empowering people through personal safety awareness education and self defense physical skills training. My trainees discover what they are capable of, which translates into higher levels of self-confidence. It is extremely rewarding to see the transformation happen! I have teaching self defense since 1984 - some of my corporate clients have included major airlines, real estate companies, government offices and more.
I have a MS in Exercise Science, a BS in Sport Management-Fitness & Wellness and currently hold numerous fitness certifications including Gray Institute’s CAFS, Brookbush Institute’s Human Movement Specialist & CPT, FAI Functional Aging Specialist, ACE Medical Fitness Specialist, ACE and NASM CPT. His areas of expertise include martial arts, kickboxing fitness, resistance & fitness training for all populations, from Novice exercisers to Elite Athletes of all ages. I have trained in martial arts since 1978 and currently hold a 7th degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo/Kajukenpo Karate. I competed as an amateur kickboxer in the 1980’s & 90’s. I teach kickboxing fitness and self defense workshops nationally and internationally for corporations, public & private organizations and fitness industry groups. I am the founder and president of Empower Training Systems, Inc. Again, my mission is to empower people through instruction and education.
See people transform and become empowered through the discovery of what they are capable of doing. I don't make people invincible - I help them learn, grow and become aware of their potential!
