This is what Robert Hamilton, renowned pianist, Steinway artist, and professor at Arizona State University said about the owner of Ostinato Conservatory: “Vitaly Serebriakov has proven to be an uncommonly successful teacher whom I regularly recommend to the very finest young talents and parents who seek my advice. He knows what is required to bring gifted pianists to the point of producing a first-rate piano sound, through the proper use of finger, hand and arm weight. Much of this comes from his thorough understanding and mastery of what is perhaps the best technical approach in the piano world, commonly known as the Russian school of piano playing".

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before starting we set up an interview during which we talk with the student and/or parent in order to identify the goals they want to achieve and how we can help. After identifying a level the student is at, we start by carefully choosing the right repertoire and building a individual plan for the entire semester. All our private lessons incorporate elements of solfege, ear training, and music appreciation so all students get the well-rounded education. Our core value is to evolve our students’ lives, foster creativity, and inspire our students with a lifelong love and passion for classical music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our artist faculty are experienced and educated professionals who are patient, kind, and knowledgeable. They hold advanced graduate degrees in music or related field from accredited universities and colleges across the world. By hiring one of our incredible teachers you will be saving money in the long run!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always look for a teacher who is thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and honest! A teacher who has qualifications and extensive experience in the field. This will insure that you will be saving your money in the long run.
A good description was given by a great master - composer and pianist Johann Hummel. He wrote:
"Parents, in the choice of a master, should direct their attention less towards cheapness of instruction, than to ascertaining that the teacher is thoroughly conversant with the principles of the art and has received the best instructions. Remember that evil habits, arising in the commencement through neglect, are not to be laid aside at a later period without great difficulty, and sometimes continue altogether incurable. Make sure the teacher's method of instruction is good and intelligible and that they conduct themselves towards children with patience and kindness".
Plus, one of the pioneers in developing method books in the United States Karl Merz mentioned:
"It is important that the first lessons should be directed by a skillful, masterly teacher. Select, therefore, the best, for it is the cheapest in the end".
