About
I love teaching! After 3 years of teaching contemporary voice at the university level, I have decided to solely pursue private teaching from my home. I have 7 total years of professional teaching experience and a music degree from Brigham Young University. I also experienced the music business first hand pursuing a professional career as a singer/songwriter in Nashville for 3 years and currently as a live performer and recording artist. I'm passionate about helping students uncover their best voice and become well-rounded musicians. I also love helping students overcome the mental roadblocks they may have felt before when singing.
I also really enjoy teaching beginning to intermediate piano. Learning this skill can help you gain essential music theory knowledge and I feel it's imperative to becoming a solid musician.
I also offer songwriting lessons where I will help you learn about songform, lyrics, chord structure and emotional connection through cathartic writing.
Let me help you learn!

BM in Media Music from Brigham Young University
3 years as adjunct voice faculty at Utah Valley University

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you looking for something long term or are you hoping for a quick fix or touch up on your voice? Some students go in thinking they'll only need a few lessons to get in great shape, but just like anything, consistency and patience will determine your success.
