About

I'm a retired teacher who still has a passion to learn as well as teach. I know how to teach from ages 5 to 85, and both genders. My lessons bring clarity and understanding, for music is great fun.

I have taught piano to my children, and now give private lessons in my northwest home. I give 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons. I have years of accompaniment experience and played at weddings and funerals.

I include theory and composition, scales and chords.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I offer a free demo lesson for 20 minutes. I take the instruction at the pace of each student, and bear in mind their age and past experience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a teaching degree and taught elementary school for nearly thirty years. I am currently a sub for the Marana School District now.

I have taught piano lessons for five years to boy and girls and adult women and men. I play the piano as an accompaniest at my church when needed. I have composed some worship and comedy songs throughout my career and can play most of those by heart. I include composition instruction for my piano students.
