Ms. Melisa works so well with my son, who is now 6.5 years old and started lessons with her when he was almost 5. We started in-person and then switched to Zoom lessons once the pandemic started, and she is equally wonderful in both modalities. Ms. Melisa is very kind and patient and focuses on the positive while also nudging him to steady improvement. The progress he has made in the two years he has spent with her is phenomenal! I also just love that he has this opportunity to develop a deep understanding of and appreciation for violin specifically and music more generally.

Very helpful and easy to work with. She often makes extra efforts for me to excel. For example she is willing to give me extra time, or be flexible if I am not exactly punctual. She even took my bow to her resource to have it rehaired much more inexpensively than local sources. She also can pinpoint problems in technique and show how to correct. She is not overbearing or unrealistic. I appreciate her prespective of experience and flexibility to make the most of lessons or time even when I forget my book. In addition, she understands different music genres and how to incorporate the violin into them which I find as a demonstration of her superior knowledge and degree of mastery of the instrument. I highly recommend Melisa.
