I have a winning method of teaching students of all levels achieve their goals because I use different approaches tailored to each individual student. I have a doctoral degree in piano performance and I have also performed concerts worldwide, including Carnegie Hall (NY) and the Chicago Cultural Center. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually schedule a complimentary lesson with students in order determine their learning style and goals. I use a variety of materials including technology in order to cover learning of different styles of music, music theory, and music history as well!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Doctoral and Master's Degree in Piano Performance from Indiana University (Bloomington), as well as a Bachelor Degree from University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign).
I have taught students of all levels, including beginners and college level performers. In my opinion, the best student is the one who is excited to learn!

I charge $90 per hour, $70 for 45mins or $50 for half hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started to teach at Indiana University School of Music as an Associate Instructor and had a very succesful group of students at the University. I also had a full studio of private students in Columbus and Indianapolis.
After moving to Arizona, I taught High School Piano at Arizona School for the Arts and founded Paradise Valley Music Academy.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and levels. I have taught 5 year olds to 75 year olds!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently was invited to teach a sumer course in music and piano at the International Schools in Beijing, China!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Learn about the teacher's qualifications and experience because it's very important to have proper technique and helpful strategies for learning which only an experienced and competent professional can offer.
