About
I specialize in teaching brand new beginners through advanced students in a fun, friendly and caring way. I teach many adults as well as children. 🎻👱🏻♀️
Nothing replaces the excitement of playing the instrument for the first time. I'm very good at starting the student in the right direction, and making them feel successful and confident with their own abilities and talents. Everyone is talented. There is a lot to be said for just trying. Everything else will fall into place. You can do it! 🎻👱🏻♀️

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Often times the hardest part is just getting started. I walk through the process with a student to get their materials. I send them pictures and tell them exactly what to look for and how to go about getting what they need.
I teach in a way that makes it easiest for the student to learn. 🎻👱🏻♀️
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to college so I could learn how to teach you how to play the violin:). This is my specialty and I absolutely love it. I received a full four your scholarship from ASU and graduated with dual degrees in performance and Education with an emphasis in "String Concentration". I have taught hundreds of students and have been teaching in the public school system for 16 years and I still love my job. I am rated as a "highly effective" teacher. 🎻👱🏻♀️
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $35 per half hour. This adds up to $140 a month for four lessons once per week. Many students want more than just once a week so I charge $35 per half hour past the monthly fee. If you would like 45 minute lessons for one lesson per week then the cost is $200. If you would like hourly lessons once per week the cost is $250 per month. I have given you a discount for 45 minutes or hourly lessons. In this way it is more cost effective to take 45 minute or hourly lessons. It is up to you though depending on how long you or your child feels about sitting in a comfortable chair and holding a violin:) 🎻 👱🏻♀️
