Kimberly Hankins: Viola + Violin Lessons

Dr. Kimberly Hankins, violist, is an avid chamber musician and educator. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Germany, Luxembourg, and Iceland. In 2021 she joined the Tetra String Quartet, an Arizona Non-Profit that is dedicated to expanding access to quality music education and performances in the local community, and inspiring and empowering youth through chamber music education.

I have a private teaching studio, where I work primarily with violists and violinists who struggle with tension or discomfort while playing. During lessons I offer tools and practices for students to explore, empowering musicians to learn for themselves what helps them play with more ease, while also providing essential technical, musical, and pedagogical education. As a certified trauma-informed RYT500 yoga and breathwork facilitator, I enjoy weaving anatomy terminology, gentle movements, breath patterns, and mindfulness into each lesson.
