I customize my piano lessons to suit beginning music students to advanced students, all ages and all styles from Bach to Rock!
My lessons not only foster confidence in children and adults, but also helps folks with their spatial reasoning, coordination and sharpen skills of depth perception, listening skills and many others. My lessons are different.

I love music, all styles, and I love people/ kids. I teach all styles of music, and can find the strengths in my students while shoring up the weaknesses with finger or vocal exercises, scales or theory.
I enjoy getting to know my students and helping them conquer their fears about performing their instrument, getting them to try karaoke with friends, encouraging them to enter their school talent shows, and do the national anthem audition for the ball game! It gives me so much pleasure to see the kids grow and change as they find the confidence within themselves!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always like to begin with a free half hour lesson just to make sure that the student is comfortable with me and my teaching style. I try to gain a rapport with the student, and after teaching them the basics of counting, technique enough to feel exploratory, then encourage and inspire him or her to play the type of music that feeds and nurtures his or her individual soul, music that speaks to the self. I can hand - transcribe or find the sheets for them or teach them what they bring to me. I always greet each student with a non- judgemental attitude and a willing to help approach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied piano since age 4 (56 years) and have a Bachelor of music degree in Piano performance. I have also accompanied Many choirs,and voice professors lessons I have taken singing lessons since I was nine, bel canto style, also played violin in many orchestras including the Phoenix Symphony Youth Orchestra and taught violin and vcello for 45 years as well as piano and voice. I also taught the Yamaha Education Method for years.
