My credentials are University of Southern California: Master Degree in Piano Performance, Indiana University Bloomington: Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance, a member of MTAC (Music Teachers' Association of California), CM tests(Certificate of Merit), ABRSM tests, College entry tests and over 10 years teaching experience, teach students from 3 yr to adults.

I started my piano training at the age of 4 with a professor from Shanghai Conservatory from whom I received very solid technical and musical training which greatly helped me to level up to professional level at University of Southern California later on. So my teaching theory is that no matter you are playing the piano for fun or for a specific goal, the piano learner has to have a good technical base. For beginners, a good technical base is, for example, good hand posture when playing the piano and good learning habit. With those, they can be lead onto the right way of learning music and even enjoy music more. I have been teaching for over 10 years and I hold students concerts every year to let them have opportunity to perform on stage. I saw all my students growth and improvement each year which I really appreciate. I have a "points system" in which my students can earn points through practice and lesson performance and trade for presents. This motivates the young kids to practice greatly.
