My daughter Aubrey (16)has been taking lessons with Kevin for about 2 years. Kevin knows so much about music and is very aware of what songs are appropriate for her to sing both for her age and her voice . Aubrey just recently won The 2018 Spotlight non classical voice competition which Kevin coached and played for .

Frequently asked questions

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I invite the student to sing something that they know really well, it can be as simple as Happy Birthday or the last piece that they learned. This tells me what's going on with their voice and I make a few corrections to the performance and then we carry on from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I obtained an ALCM in Singing technique from the London College of Music, worked as a singer myself in Opera and London's West-End (like Broadway) came to Los Angeles to appear in the movie 'Titanic' and have been working and teaching here ever since. I was on the Vocal faculty at both AMDA LA and UC Irvine

Yes, if you pay for 4 lessons upfront I give you an extra 10% discount. (certain restrictions attached)

How did you get started teaching?

While I was performing in the show South Pacific in London's West-End several people asked me for vocal lessons and so I started my career of performing and teaching

What types of students have you worked with?

All voice types - at the moment I have a singer in a Punk band and several Opera students!
