My standart is very high! I was trained to be a performing pianist ion Moscow, Russia, and some of my students also became musicians. Music is a passion of my family, both my kids are performing and recording misicians. Most important for me is to make our relationships warm and rewarding, feel trust for this teamwork -- student, teacher,parents -- to the best achievement!
I help kids and adults to learn and appreciate classical music and be able to play for friends and family. I'm MTAC member and my students do Certificate of Merit exam (if want), play competitions, recitals, etc. Every year we have 4 Studio recitals and everybody likes and enjoys this gathering.Many times my students won Carnegie Hall competition and played in New York's most famous hall!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would like to know student's interests, including school subjects, sport, art and others.
First step is to help read music fluently, which opens the door to the music world. My goal is to make this process easier and entertaning! After ( and at the same time) we start playing beatiful songs to make lesson exciting. Learning process includes homework, the more you do at home -- the faster is a progress! I focus on Music theory as well, and my students are well educated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All my life I learned music, and keep learnig even now, exploring new stiles and genres with my students. My edication was concluded in Moscow State Conservatory of Music, my Diploma is for performing, teaching piano and coaching chamber music. I have many cerificates of accomplishment for my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My charge depends on the length of the lessson, it is $75 for 45 minutes and $95 for an hour. I do teach 30 minutes for $55 only with very young (5 y/o) kids for a very short time, about 2 months.
How did you get started teaching?
Straight after Conservatory I started teaching in Music College in Moscow ( for students from15 to 20), then whis my own kids growing and becoming musicians, I started being more and more interested in bringing up young children as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I use to work with kids from 5-6 y/o until they graduate and go to grown up life, very often we are good friends or (they called it) "expended family".

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The most important thing for student is a commitment.
If you missed a day of practice, try to make it up next day, get used to play and do homework same way as you do your school work, try your best and I'm always here for help, never give up, I will find a right solution for all your needs!
