I started teaching piano to beginners in 1994. Not long after, I began teaching the same material differently because I noticed people remembered better if they were shown "the why" instead of just expecting them to memorize random information.
One of my favorite things is to see students love playing the piano and have a solid theory foundation for them to pursue music for as long as they want.
