Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to find out their goals that they want out of the experience and I like to ease their worries about being nervous.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 15 years experience in Brazilian jujitsu I have six years of Boxing experience
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It varies person-to-person. I think all people should learn some kind of self-defense so if that means changing my prices up, I will.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started teaching as a way to spread the knowledge and just the sport of Brazilian jujitsu and boxing and to help people build confidence in themselves. So if something was going to go down, they can protect themselves enough to get help or get away.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with all students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try a lot of teachers out I might not necessarily be the right one for you, but you will find somebody that you were extremely fond of and enjoy learning with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think they should have a general idea of what they wanna achieve out of taking these lessons.
