I have decade of experience teaching piano lessons for all ages from young kids to adults. My main teaching goal has always been to spark passion in my students for piano playing and music as a whole. This is accomplished by teaching music as an art, and emphasizing the genres that the students are interested in learning.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student overcome a challange and get gratification out of it.

Samantha is a wonderful person who is a delight to learn from. She is always positive with her comments. I have never felt an inkling of frustration with her if I fail to grasp a concept or do not have the opportunity to practice as much as I would like during a week. She is also very flexible allowing me to switch up our lesson schedule as needed. I started with absolutely zero training and she was instrumental (no pun intended) with me being able to perform a song on the piano at my Daughters wedding. It was extremely satisfying to me and a night I will never forget. I will be forever grateful for her for not only teaching me but encouraging me to move forward with that performance.
First, we discuss what their goals are, both short-term and long-term. I also review my philosophy of teaching. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, as each student is unique. If we feel we are a match to work together, I absorb during the first few lessons the way the student best learns, and readily seek their feedback.
