I have 8+ years of experience teaching music, and taught in private voice and piano on both coasts for an array of studios, before deciding to start my own. After graduating from Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts (B.A. Musical Theatre) and touring nationally as a performer/teacher with Missoula Children's Theatre, I taught music and theatre in the Sacramento area (McLaughlin Studios, KD Performing Arts Studios, Bach to Rock Music School, Christian Youth Theatre of Sacramento) before moving to New York City to continue performing in Musical Theatre professionally, where I performed in several Off-Broadway Cabaret shows, and worked teaching for the Blue Balloon Songwriting School in Brooklyn. After several years in NYC, I returned to Sacramento to work and perform. I currently work as a music teacher both in my own studio and at several schools, teaching piano, voice, and audition technique in the Sacramento area.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Musical Theatre, from the renowned Point Park University Conservatory of Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. I have trained with broadway performers, world renowned directors, and performed in regional and off broadway productions before moving back to my hometown to pursue my career here.

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching piano in my parents home, in high school. After college, I continued teaching as a day job while I was performing. Along with teaching private piano and voice, I also vocal directed shows in both the Pittsburgh, PA and Sacramento area, both for children's theatre and adult theatre. In 2017, I took a 3 month national tour with Missoula Children's Theatre; teaching and performing shows around the country to areas that were in need of arts education.
