Music has been called a universal language throughout history. Anyone can learn to play the piano. I love teaching because it gives me the ability to share the knowledge that I have gathered over the last 20 years and inspire other's to enjoy making music!
I have 20 years of piano playing experience and 4 years of teaching experience. I have completed a degree in piano performance with an emphasis in jazz and commercial music styles. With classical, jazz, and commercial music knowledge I can cater to my student's musical passions. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
typically the first week is getting to know the student and their goals with piano. From there we work to get better and better every single week!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up playing classical piano from the age of 5. Now I have a bachelors degree in piano performance with an emphasis in jazz and commercial music styles.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a piano teacher make sure they have a firm foundation in music reading and music theory. ask them where they got their music knowledge from and why they are qualified to teach.
