In my studio I teach students,ages 5-95, to play the piano or violin. The goals of this studio are to provide a positive environment for musical instruction, to develop the student's full musical potential, and to instill an enjoyment of music. Lessons are planned to meet the individual needs of each student and include music theory, music history, repertoire (classical, movie, and pop), technique, sight reading, and ear training. In addition to time with me at the piano or violin, students spend time at the computer learning and reviewing music theory and other areas of music. Students have an opportunity to participate in the Certificate of Merit Program of the Music Teachers association of California and studio recitals that are held in June and December. I have been teaching in my studio since 1980 and have a Master of Arts in Music degree from CA State University at Long Beach. I have also taught at Golden West and Coastline colleges.
