Our service is special in that not only do you get cooking instruction, but you get to enjoy meals for the week! All chefs have a minimum of 7 years professional experience, Food Safety Certified, carry liability insurance, and go through a background check. You can select from several different chef instructors and the chef travels to you.
Foodom platform chef-instructors bring their real life experiences to their students. In the age of drive-thrus, delivery, meal kits, and frozen dinners, learning to cook nutritious food is an investment in your health and happiness (not to mention it saves $!). Bringing this to our students is one of the most gratifying things for a chef instructor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

3. Select the dishes you would like to learn to prepare, schedule the date and time that works best for you! Important: Be sure to include in the notes section on your order you are looking for cooking instruction.
4. Enjoy! Not only will you have professional instruction, but meals to enjoy for the week!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All chefs are background checked, food safety certified, and carry liability insurance. You will be able to work side by side with your chef (minimum 7 years’ experience as a professional chef) and ask as many questions as you like. What you learn will be based on the dishes selected.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on the dishes selected. Some will take longer than others. The length of the lesson is up to you, based on the dishes/techniques you wish to learn. Average rate is around $50 per hour. The amount of students in a class is soley at the chefs discretion (you can discuss prior), with a small add-on fee for up to 2 additional students.
