With violin and piano students, I'm really good at helping them master each next challenging technique.
With voice students I guide the student's voice to a better space for resonance, tone, health, etc as needed.
In general I help students make the leap from one level - using good technique and playing/singing the music - to the next level of making music. When my students have an "aha" moment, it's such a wonderful feeling for me as well. My students know how much their success means to me too. For me, it's about what's right for my students, and whatever pace is right for them. I teach kids as well as adults, and all levels are welcome. Plus I've got plenty of great references.

I have a degree in voice and violin music performance and theory, over 25 years teaching and performing experience, I direct local groups, and I'm still a working musician.
