Marquart Music Studio

About

I tailor the lessons for the individual student. They learn, and we also have fun doing it. The lessons incorporate: theory, technique, pieces the students enjoy as well as new concepts. I am a member of MTAC (Music Teachers' Assoc of CA). I have taught piano students from 5-80 as well as classroom music k-12.

I enjoy Music and People of all ages. When a student grasps a new concept, or is able to play a new piece it's a joy for both of us.

I was 17 when a woman in the neighborhood who had heard me play asked me to teach her child.

I have worked with students age 5 through 80. I prefer students no younger that 6. It's easier for them if they can already read.

The best moments for me are when a student grasps a concept is excited by it, Or conquers what is for them a more difficult portion of music whether he/she is a beginner or an advanced student.

Make sure they are a member of MTAC (Music Teachers Assoc of California) or have a degree. Be sure to ask any questions you have about their teaching experience that you have.

What is it that the student is looking to learn? Does the teacher have expertise in those specific areas? Has the teacher taught a student of their age?
