Christine Lehman Voice And Piano Studio

I love connecting with each student as a unique individual and finding the ways forward to accomplish musical goals. As a voice teacher, I love teaching technique, musicianship, and literature that the student is interested in, especially musical theater and classical literature. As a piano teacher, I love finding pieces that the student is excited to learn, generally within classical repertoire, and providing a strong technical and theory foundation.

My voice students have won regional awards, progressed to national competitions, performed lead roles in community theater, and continued voice study at leading universities. My piano students have progressed to Level 10 with the Royal Conversatory of Music, been accepted to international music academies and auditioned chamber music programs.

Many of my students began studying with me as beginners. My studio is like a family - warm and friendly. I prioritize supporting each individual wherever and whoever they are, with attention to each person's needs and learning style.

I most enjoy meeting and working with a wide variety of individuals, learning how to best help them in their music study, and exploring a wide variety of music together. I love getting to know students by studying and practicing together weekly over a long period of time and sharing our musical journeys. I love seeing where everyone's journeys take them, e.g. to various kinds of performing such as opera, cabaret, musical theater, chamber ensembles, accompanying, piano bar, bands, choirs, and enjoyment with friends. And I love watching students grow as individuals into more confidence and full expressions of their uniqueness.
