As a music teacher, I put my heart into the students and what they would like from each lesson! We don't just learn the ABCs of music, but we develop a relationship which makes the lesson experience something they want to come back to week after week!

I love being able to share the gift of music, encouraging students that they CAN and WILL get better, and building their CONFIDENCE in something that can seem challenging at times (this will help with other aspects of a student's life!)

Taking a piano lesson with Soo(Teaches) has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I always wanted to learn how to play the piano but with my busy schedule( and living in a busy part of Los Angeles), it was hard for me to go to a venue for the lesson( not mention the difficulty in finding a great instructor that fit into my schedule). I tried Udemy/Youtube and found it hard considering I have no prior knowledge of music. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I decided to take lessons with Soo via Zoom/Facetime and it has been working out so well for me. Soo is very knowledgeable, patient, and super encouraging. Not only does she focus on my learning how to play the key but also on how to understand all the music elements. Her teaching approach has been very effective and easy for me as an adult learner. After a month, I now can read and play some songs already. I feel very lucky to be able to learn from Soo and cant wait to learn more every week.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've gone to school for jazz vocal performance, but also play guitar, vionlin, piano, and percussion. I've taught at Gards music school with 25 students a week, ages 5 to 60!
